14th July 2007. Happy "Jour de bastille" ... That's what the french call it. Not National day but Bastille Day.

For the past 3 years, having joined the french national day. It was organized anually on the 14th July by the French Embassy. However, this year, perhaps due to the reason that 14th july is on a saturday, they had brought it forward to the day before. Hence, Here i am, sitting at home, blogging rather than getting myself ready for the event..

At least I'm more sober today then yesterday. However, this year was slightly different from all the past events. For one thing, this was the year the new ambassador has just arrived. Instead of the stage we were usually standing, we were standing to beside the side of the stage sans mike. It was amazing how the voice of only 20 of us can reach to the end of the ballroom.

They people was friendly, the food was magnificent.. In fact, it was so good to the point that i couldn't tear myself away from the dessert counter... The chocolate ( although i only tried the dark chocolate) was.... practically orgasmic.... and the eclair was like heaven.... so's the opera cake... and the wine.... the wine was wonderful.. it's just a pity i missed that pink champagne adelyn was speaking so highly about.. how can they run out of it! And i my reisling! I couldn't have a second helping coz it ran out too...

The girls was nice... but the guys were really charming... well.. according to jeraldine, the guy at the bar was a complete jerk and an idiot.. But i thought he was so charming and nice..

oh ya.. and jeraldine, i didn't have a mesmerized look on my face. I don't! it was the wine....

I'm drunk.. or really... I'm feeling high.. I just returned from the french embassy's national day party.. The food was good. at least i think the dessert was fantastic.. My vision is blurry and i'm staggering about as in knocking into walls and chairs...

That's because i have had six glasses of wine. The very first which was a glass of champagne..

I have had great fun spending time with jeraldine and adelyn at the "party" ... a party which had an invitation of 500 people...

We took photos, mingled around upon ocassions and generally enjoyed ourselves a whole lot..

The first guy which jeraldine and I had talked to didn't mean to talk to us.. it so happened that i caught his attention. By tripping him. Basically it was not my fault, i was minding my own business, chatting with jeraldine while i picked at my food... an this guy who was walking by tripped on my heels. Don't ask me how he managed to do it.. i have no idea.. haha

i was on my 4th glass of wine .. the one which they called reisling or something like that, jeraldine and i was approached by this french guy who chatted with us. I thought he was rather charming and cute... Jeraldine agreed that he was indeed charming but she insisted that he was an idiot... hmm.. he's still charming nevertheless..

At the end of the function, Jeraldine , adelyn and I were drinking at the lobby sofa chatting when all of a sudden three guys sat opposite us. They introduced themself. and according to Jeraldine and adelyn.. that first guy is the actual "charming guy..." . well, i thought the 3rd one was better.. but i shall try to keep my opinions to myself.. haha.. so now.. i'm at home, dizzy and blurred vision..

Ok.. i shall better go off to bed now.. gotta teach piano tonight..

Today was an exhausting day with three courses running concurrently, the adrenaline rush from the whole week is finally catching up with me and i'm crashing really badly. Very soon. Thank goodness, I have at least taken half day off ... not to rest but to join in the french national day. There, I will probably drink like nobody's business so i can finally crash into bed.. or rather onto my mattress till monday morning.. ok.. not really.. my weekend is rather filled too.. haha.. And yes... i've been chased out of my room again.

It has gotten to the point that i've became abit loony so as to say. Well, Since early this morning there has been a particular song which has been running through my mind over and over again... a one-liner... What song is it??

Hmmm... Ok.. let's see... Remember when we were kids? And every sat morning there would be cartoons playing?? At that point in time, there was a particular favourite of mine. And so this song goes on like a loop audio in my brain. Guess what song is it??

Haha.. and what are we going to do today ? Trying to take over the world... hahahahahahah

I've been trying to look for this book for quite awhile. But so far, don't have any luck laying my hands on it....

Review: I haven't really read this book yet, so i can't really say whether it is good or not. But judging from the excerpt of the story, I'd say that "Hostile Makeover" has alot of potentials in it...

If her writing style has not changed from her previous books, I can safely say that this will be a great read!

Let's just cross our finger and hope that the author keeps to her usual standard...
